What it is
A Cloud workspace, not another handheld terminal
Classic WiScanner still pairs over local WiFi to type into Excel, ERP or any desktop field. Cloud adds a second path: your company gets a workspace of sheets stored online. Barcode is the unique key. Teammates open the same tabs in a browser; floor staff scan with the phone. One account works on web and mobile (email/password, Google or Apple).

Scan destinations target Cloud sheets; column flags control what the phone form shows.

Invite by email or QR; roles gate who can edit rows, columns, users or Wisy.

How it works
From signup to first scan
Open Cloud
Sign in at cloud.wiscanner.com. A workspace is created automatically.
Build a sheet
Add columns (text, number, dropdown, GPS, photo, formula…) or import Excel/CSV.
Scan on the floor
Install WiScanner, sign in with the same account, choose the Cloud sheet as destination.
Grow the team
Invite users, assign roles, print labels and wire automations as you scale.

Design the data model you actually use
Bottom tabs hold separate datasets inside one company. Each sheet has a barcode column plus the fields you define. Column names become stable keys for mobile forms, formulas, labels and the API—so pick them carefully.
- Column types – text, number (with auto increase/decrease), currency, dropdown, boolean, date/time (manual or automatic), email, URL, photo, signature, attachment, GPS location (manual map picker or automatic), formula, unique ID, plus system audit fields (created/updated by and when).
- Web & mobile flags – hide or lock per surface, required fields, defaults, allow barcode scan on text fields, empty-on-edit for fast recounts.
- Mobile preview – reorder the phone form independently from the web grid.
- Sheet settings – timezone, date format, and which company members may open the sheet.
- Import / export – validate XLSX/CSV fully before write; export respects search, sort and selection.

The WiScanner app is still where barcodes are read. With Cloud entitlement (Free or paid), scan flows can create or update rows in a Cloud sheet. Barcode uniqueness drives upserts and merge prompts when quantities should combine. Photos, signatures and GPS capture on the device land in the typed columns you configured on the web.

Wisy is the Cloud AI assistant: filter the grid, answer questions and propose writes that still need your confirmation and role permissions. Monthly AI actions scale with the plan (from a few on Free to thousands on Business).
On Team and Business, open Settings → API / MCP to create API keys for Cursor or Claude, or connect ChatGPT via OAuth to https://cloud.wiscanner.com/mcp so agents can list sheets, scan and update rows under the same permissions as people.
