WiScanner Cloud Sheets: Shared Inventory Your Team Can Scan Into

Spreadsheets are still how most warehouses start. The pain starts when three people edit three copies—or when the only “scanner” is typing. WiScanner Cloud keeps one live sheet per dataset at cloud.wiscanner.com, keyed by barcode, editable in the browser and filled from the WiScanner phone app.

Cloud sheet vs Excel / Google Sheets wedge

Classic WiScanner can still type barcodes into Excel or Google Sheets over local WiFi—perfect when one PC owns the file. A Cloud sheet is different: the data lives in your company workspace. Everyone with access sees the same rows. There is no desktop client required for the shared truth, and you get column types, roles, history, automations and Wisy that a plain spreadsheet does not provide.

Rule of thumb: wedge-scan into Excel when the desk owns the process. Use Cloud when the aisle and the office must share one source of truth.

What a Cloud sheet contains

First setup in five steps

  1. Sign in at cloud.wiscanner.com with the same account you use in the WiScanner app.
  2. Create a sheet (blank or template) or import XLSX/CSV with a mapped barcode column.
  3. Add columns you actually need—SKU, location, qty, condition, photo—then set mobile visibility.
  4. On the phone, choose that Cloud sheet as the scan destination and walk a few test barcodes.
  5. Invite teammates (on plans that allow it) via email or QR; assign roles so pickers are not admins.
