Scan Barcodes Directly Into Your ERP

Most ERP, WMS and accounting systems already accept barcodes as keyboard input. WiScanner builds on that: the phone reads the code and the desktop client types it into the focused ERP field on Windows or Mac. When you need system-to-system delivery, a webhook sends every scan to your endpoint as JSON.

Two ways to get scans into your ERP

Keyboard input into ERP screens
Pair the phone with the computer running your ERP, click the barcode field and scan. Works with browser-based and desktop ERPs – no connector or integration project.
Webhook to your backend
Send each scan as an HTTP POST with a JSON body to your own endpoint, with optional Basic Authentication. Your ERP or middleware takes it from there.

Keyboard route in four steps

1
Install the desktop client
Run the WiScanner client on the Windows PC or Mac where the ERP is open.
2
Pair the phone
Scan the client's QR code with the WiScanner app, or enter the IP address and port 8099.
3
Focus the ERP field
Open goods receipt, picking, stock adjustment or item lookup and click the barcode field.
4
Scan and submit
The code is typed into the field. An automatic Enter or Tab submits the entry or moves to the next field.

Match the format your ERP expects

Prefix and Suffix
Send Enter, Tab or Space – or fixed text – before or after every value, so each scan fits the screen's workflow.
RegEx validation
Accept only values that match a pattern, for example a specific length or code format, before they reach the ERP.
Duplicate control
Decide whether the same barcode may be entered twice; rejected repeats go to a Failed list.
Groups per workflow
Keep separate groups for receiving, picking or counting so each export or webhook carries the right group name.

What your endpoint receives

Each webhook request carries the scanned value and its context. Turn on Real Time Send with Webhook as the destination to receive scans as they happen.

  • Input – the scanned or manually entered value
  • GroupName and Type – which group the scan belongs to and what kind of entry it is
  • Name, PrefixValue, PrefixCommand, SuffixValue, SuffixCommand – optional extra fields
  • x-wusername header – the profile name of the phone that sent the scan

Prefer batch files?

If your ERP imports files, export a scan group as CSV or upload it to an FTP/FTPS server that your import job reads from.

Runs on the devices you already have

WiScanner has a phone app and a desktop client. The phone reads the barcode; the desktop client receives it on the computer.

iPhone
Install WiScanner from the App Store and scan with the camera.
Android
Install WiScanner from Google Play; the workflow is the same as on iPhone.
Windows
Install the PC client (MSI installer). It runs in the background and types incoming scans at the cursor.
macOS
Download the Mac client, open it and leave it running while you scan.

ERP barcode scanning questions

Not for the keyboard route. The desktop client types barcodes into whichever ERP field is focused, so any screen that accepts typed input works without a connector.

Yes. Browser-based and desktop ERP screens both receive the scan as keyboard input on Windows or Mac.

Yes, through the Webhook integration. Each scan is sent as an HTTP POST with a JSON body to the URL you configure, optionally with Basic Authentication. Webhooks are available on every plan, including the free 100 scans.

Yes. A RegEx rule checks every scanned or manually entered value, and only values that match the pattern are accepted.

The keyboard route only needs the phone and computer on the same local network. The webhook route needs network access from the phone to your endpoint.
